Let’s break each of them down with examples.

1. 👋 Greeting

The most common greetings you can use are:

• はじめまして。
  Hajimemashite.
  → Nice to meet you (used only the first time you meet someone).

Always start your self-introduction with this phrase.

2. 🙋‍♂️ Name

There are a few polite ways to say your name in Japanese:

• わたしの なまえは たなか です。
  Watashi no namae wa tanaka desu.
  → My name is Tanaka.
• わたしはたなかかと もうします。
  watasi wa tanaka to moushimasu.
  → I am Tanaka (more polite/formal).
